Street artists featured in Stick Em Up! unite in Stuck Up, an edgy poster exhibition on display at Domy Books in Houston, Texas.

Domy Books will host this unique art exhibition that showcases artists Give Up, DUAL, Eyesore, Cutthroat, 2:12, Shreddi, Garro, Vote Right, GONZO247, Ack!, Michael C. Rodriguez and GhostTown.

Summer Fun

Besides the year old video of my cute kids playing in the park.. this video edit is nothing special. It’s the first edit I cranked out just a couple of hours after installing the new Apple Final Cut Pro X. I was able to mix footage from my Canon 7d, Flip HD and an iTunes Store purchased song (.ac3 format) into a timeline with no issues… almost
impossible in the previous version of FCP.
I then did some minor color correction to the clips, made some speed adjustments and played with audio a little… not once did I have to wait for a render.
I’m still fumbling my mouse around the program and feeling like a rookie-editor all over again… so I won’t pass judgment on FCPX just yet

Ray Phillips Gallery
This is the grand opening of the new Ray Phillips Gallery in Galveston, TX on July 10,2010.
We wanted this short piece of work to blend harmoniously with the artist profile we previously did for Mr. Phillips yet be able to stand on it’s own. The music and style are similar, but we pulled out a few new (old) tricks to add some variance.

Graffiti Proposal
In this video Shannon of Reiswig Photography comes up with a creative plan to propose to his girlfriend Jessica. With the help of artist ACK! and filmmaker Alex Luster, Shannon pulled off a one of a kind proposal that Jessica couldn’t resist.
When Shannon first had the idea he knew exactly who he wanted to help him realize his scheme. His only worry was if they would agree. That worry was soon put to rest as he got Houston urban artist ACK! on board to paint the mural and Alex to produce, shoot & edit the masterpiece. The crazy week of Houston rain proved to be a nuisance. What was originally planned as a two day shoot wound up being realized in the span of a 10 hour day. ACK! worked tirelessly through the Texas heat, Shannon brought in their daughters to participate in the artwork, and Alex was there every step of the way to capture it all on video. It couldn’t have worked out any better. Congratulations to Shannon & Jessica on the beginning of a happy life together!
Special thanks to XL Auto Parts for use of their wall for this production.
Ray Phillips
This video profile hi-lights the amazing work of artist Ray Phillips. You get an intimate look into the creative process and the man behind the art.
Mr. Phillips approached Shoot Edit Sleep with a vision, it was our job to make it a reality. From beginning to end this video is all about the art. Every element, transition, subliminal image, visual component… every frame is from Ray Phillips’ work. We tried to push ourselves to new and daring limits. The scariest was leaving one of our cameras suspended 18 feet in the rafters of Ray’s studio for 2 days to record a time lapse that ended up only filling 5 seconds of the finished video.
The final product turned out to be something that everyone involved was extremely pleased with.
